Lucky for the Nets their agreed deal with Donte Greene was non-guaranteed, for the player himself though, unfortunate. News has emerged that the deal will not go through after it was revealed that Greene had suffered a fractured ankle during a workout last weekend.
The player’s agent confirmed the injury but added that Greene was still hopeful of being picked up by the franchise down the line.
“He’s holding up,” Chris Luchey told ESPNNewYork.com. “He’s excited about the Nets, to be honest. He had a good visit with them even after the incident in (the) Nets’ office. So he’s very optimistic and appreciates how they feel about him.
We’re confident in the end it’ll all work out and eventually I believe and he believes he’ll don the Brooklyn Nets’ jersey this season.”
It is not know how long Greene will be sidelined for.
