Presidential nominee Donald Trump says a lot of stuff. A lot of it is not accurate and a lot of it is very disgusting to many humans across the globe. But he’s coming off a weekend from hell so he’s trying to do all he can to recover his image while facing some not so favorable polling numbers.
He was in San Antonio, Texas today and was talking about the city’s beloved squad, the San Antonio Spurs. Donald said he thinks it would be great if America was run like the Spurs.
Following from Patrick Svitek of the Texas Tribune.
At San Antonio fundraiser today, Trump praised the Spurs then said, "Wouldn't it be great if the country were run like that?"

Well, there might be a few problems with that. While America might come away with many titles like the Spurs, San Antonio’s success is heavily dependant on the skills of foreign athletes. Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili are just a few foreign born players that have been instrumental in the Spurs five championships since 1999. Not to mention guys like Patty Mills, Pau Gasol, Boban Marjanovic and Patty Mills populating the roster over the past couple of seasons. Donald Trump famously wants foreigners to leave America. So how would this new United States modeled after the Spurs exactly work if the main core of it is the foreigners taking Americans jobs? Interesting concept from Trump.
It’s hard to imagine Gregg Popovich echoes those same sentiments from Donald Trump.
