
Michelle Obama hasn’t publicly expressed an interest in running for President of the United States, but a former President has already poured cold water on a potential campaign if she decides to run for public office in the future.
Former President Donald Trump has stayed away from the debate stage thus far. However, he has made himself available for several media opportunities, including sit-down interviews with Tucker Carlson and Kristen Welker. Most recently, he spoke with The National Pulse. During the conversation, the topic of Michelle Obama running for President came up and the former reality show host immediately shot down the idea.
“I don’t see that, no,” Trump said in regard to a potential Michelle Obama presidential campaign.
“I don’t see that.”
Trump also remarked that he didn’t envision President Joe Biden making it “through the starting gate” of the presidential race. At this point, polling from Five Thirty Eight points to a redo of the previous presidential election. Trump leads Ron DeSantis, Chris Christie, Tim Scott, Mike Pence and Nikki Haley in most, if not all, major polls. Meanwhile, the Democratic race only features the sitting President, author Marianne Williamson and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. As for the next election, it appears to be wide open for candidates in both parties. With that said, the former First Lady has not expressed an interest in another four years in the nation’s capital, but she has released a best-selling book, secured a major podcasting deal and launched a food and beverage company for kids.
