Quibi is dead-set on changing the way you watch television. A streaming service created by Jeffrey Katzenberg and Meg Whitman, set to give you ‘Quick Bites’ of content from your favourite creators. One of those creators is Don Cheadle, who is set to star in a sci-fi drama produced by them titled ‘Don’t Look Deeper’.
Cheadle will join Emily Mortimer from “Mary Poppins Returns,” and “Madeline’s Madeline’s” Helena Howard. Per Variety, Cheadle, the ‘Avengers’ and ‘Black Monday’ actor’s role is unspecified. However, the film is “set in Merced, Ca. fifteen minutes into the future, and centers on a high school senior who can’t seem to shake the feeling that something about her just isn’t right. She’s not human, not one of us. This revelation sets in motion a series of events that suddenly puts her entire life in jeopardy.”
Cheadle is one of many A-list celebrities to join Quibi, including Guillermo Del Toro, Antoine Fuqua and Sam Raimi and the honorary Stephen Spielberg. The streaming service adds a unique spin on watching television on your phone. Each series will be two to four hours in length, but divided into small 10 minute segments for you to watch.
