Throughout his career, DMX has had his share of ups and downs in the criminal justice system. Most recently, DMX was sentenced to twelve months in jail for charges of tax evasion. After serving nine months in prison, it appears that DMX will be released in the next month. Multiple reports indicate that DMX will likely be released on counts of good behavior.
According to a recent report from TMZ, DMX already has a plan for what he hopes to accomplish once he is released. TMZ reports, “X has been writing lots of songs in prison. He’s got plenty of time on his hands and he’s planning on dropping a new album when he’s released!”
The news of the rapper’s release will also be of great news to his family. DMX is the father of fifteen children. Most importantly, DMX will have an opportunity to spend time with his youngest son, Exodus Simmons. At only two years old, Simmons is reported to have serious health problems.
DMX is currently being held Gilmer Federal Correctional Institutional Facility. His projected release date is January 27, 2019. More details will be reported as they become available.
