The song hip-hop considered “song of the summer” has been certified gold.
DJ Khaled’s star-studded song, I’m The One just became the famed producer’s first #1 song on the Hot 100 chart. The track also sold over 500,000 units, certifying it gold by the RIAA.
DJ Khaled is no stranger to star-studded features doing well on the charts. The Miami producer’s hit song with Beyonce and Jay-Z, Shining has been doing well on the R&B/Hip-Hop charts. The hit song, which features Lil Wayne, Justin Bieber, Quavo of Migos, and Chance the Rapper has been out for only two weeks.
Throughout its two weeks of airplay, it has hit gold, and on it’s way to platinum. Khaled celebrated the certification on his Instagram, saying “Bless up fan luv !! ANOTHER ONE #IMTHEONE OFFICIALLY #GOLD And the rec only been out for 2 weeks .. WOW BE PLATINUM any day now @wethebestmusic @epicrecords @rocnation FAN LUV THANK YOU IM SO #GRATEFUL.”
