“Did the Drake vocals get here yet?” That question soon became embedded in our brains thanks to DJ Khaled’s consistency via Snapchat. While not much was known about the Drake vocals and what they were being used for, many went forth to assume and correctly guessed that they would be used for an impending collaboration between the two Hip-Hop men. Furthermore, DJ Khaled has been working on his new album all while being apart of Beyonce’s “Formation World Tour” and venturing off into various other areas. Ahead of Summer 2016, the moment has finally arrived and Khaled is looking to set things ablaze as he went forth to convey that the Drake vocals have finally landed. Teaming up once again, DJ Khaled and Drake premiered their new record, ‘For Free.’ Per his current deal with Apple, it was only right that the record received a Beats 1 premiere with Zane Lowe.
Simply put, ‘For Free’ is a record that was crafted to be an undeniable Summer hit. Filled with melody and catchy Drake one-liners, Drake even kicks the record off with some sampling of Too Short’s ‘Blow The Whistle.’ It’s inevitable that ‘For Free’ will soon be one of many go-to songs for the warm weather.
