‘Divergent’ is on track to either meet or beat ‘Twilight’s box office debut.
The movie adaptation of Veronica Roth’s best selling series is expected to at least meet ‘Twilight’s $69.9 million opening back in November 2008.
Fandango said that first day ticket sales for ‘Divergent’ are well ahead of ‘Twilight’ with the film counting for half of the sites sales on March 5.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, predictions are placing ‘Divergent’ at a $65 million debut.
I guess we will see who the box office champ is when ‘Divergent’ hits theaters March 21.
