Disney has just announced that are starting production on an adaptation of the hit young adult novel ‘Artemis Fowl’ with Harvey Weinstein.
The movie will cover the first two books in the series which center on a 12-year-old criminal mastermind who must save his family after angering fairies.
Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal are set to produce the film, but no directors or release date has been announced yet.
The ‘Artemis Fowl’ series has sold over 21 million books between 2001 and 2012.
