Dion Waiters has been putting on quite a show recently. The Miami Heat guard has exploded over the last stretch of games, earning Eastern Conference Player of the Week honors and hitting a game-winning shot against the Golden State Warriors in dramatic fashion.
Waiters’ recent heroics have made him the topic of lots of NBA discussion, and he’s not taking that spotlight, well, lightly.
More Waiters: "I’d rather go 0 for 30 than 0 for 9 because you go 0 for 9 that means you stopped shooting. That means you lost confidence."

If you’re currently thinking you’ve read that quote before, somewhere, you’re right. It’s a straight-up rip-off of a Kobe Bryant quote. How fitting for the man who allegedly had teammates call him Kobe Wade to steal a quote from half of those people.
But listen, if you’re currently scorching the ground you walk on to the tune of 15.3 points per game and shooting 37.4 percent from behind the arc, then you can use whatever quotes you want.
Dion Waiters’ emergence has been a revelation for the Heat, who have won nine straight games to leap frog back into the playoff conversation. When you’ve been that good, you can talk about going 0-for-30 as often as you want.
