Ah Dion Waiters: the epitome of supreme self-confidence and dangerous over-confidence. The Oklahoma City Thunder shooting guard has become the model of that kind of player in the league, always confident in his ability to take a stepback jumper despite shooting 40% from the field.
Waiters’ confidence as an NBA player is well known. But the extent to which he exudes confidence and the amount of time he has been this way may not be quite as clear cut.
Enter Syracuse alum Danny Parkins to give you a small glimpse in the world of Dion:

I also asked Dion one time after a dunk contest if he could dunk through his legs and he looked at me like I asked what color the sky was.

Point is, Dion Waiters doesn't believe he's the 7th best player on the floor. Sometimes he's right, and sometimes he's very wrong.

That is so Dion.
Waiters actually played incredibly well during the postseason. He was immensely focused on the defensive end and mostly under control offensively, proving he can be a contributor moving forward. However, his career as a whole most closely resembles the tweets above.
Then again, what can you expect from the man who once tweeted this to prove that he and Kyrie Irving made up the best backcourt in the Eastern Conference at that time.
