Scott “Kid Cudi” Mescudi will reportedly testify at Daniel Patrick Moynihan Courthouse in Lower Manhattan as Sean “Diddy” Combs stands trial. He is expected to testify on Thursday, May 22, 2025, following Combs’s former assistant, George Kaplan.
Mescudi will reportedly testify one week after former Bady Boy Records artist Cassie Ventura. Testifying over the course of four days, Ventura said Combs became enraged in 2011 when he learned that she was dating Mescudi. Ventura also claimed Combs told her that Mescudi’s car would be blown up in his driveway before it happened. Ultimately, she says she and Mescudi split after Combs continuously threatened both of them.
In addition to testifying about her relationship with Mescudi, Ventura also alleged Combs abused the man taking the stand before Mescudi, George Kaplan. She told the court that Kaplan quit his job after witnessing physical abuse.
Kaplan and Mescudi are expected to be the third and fourth witnesses to take the stand during the week of Monday, May 19. Gerard Gannon, a Homeland Security Investigations special agent, began testifying on May 19 and will reportedly be followed by clinical psychologist Dawn Hughes. From there, Kaplan and Mescudi will reportedly speak to the court.
Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently being held at MDC Brooklyn as he stands trial at Daniel Patrick Moynihan Courthouse in Lower Manhattan. He is currently being charged with the following offenses: racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution. If convicted on all three charges, he faces up to life in prison. Initial reports suggest the trial could last anywhere from six to eight weeks.
