Dick LeBeau has resigned from his defensive coordinator job with the Pittsburgh Steelers. It now appears he will be headed to the Arizona Cardinals to join his former colleague Bruce Arians. Arians and LeBeau were together for five seasons in Pittsburgh. LeBeau is famous for being the creator of the zone blitz scheme. He will now likely replace Todd Bowles once he gets a head coaching opportunity. Bowles is currently a candidate for the Jets, Falcons, 49ners, Bears, and Raiders. With Bowles’ emanate departure LeBeau seems like an obvious replacement. Its unclear why he parted ways with the Steelers, but it was likely due to friction with either head coach Mike Tomlin or offensive coordinator Todd Haley.
