Somehow, someway, the Dallas Cowboys overcame numerous turnovers, a less than impactful Dez Bryant and multiple mistakes to pull out a win against their rivals on the first Sunday Night Football game of the 2015 NFL season.
While Tony Romo and Jason Witten stole the show for the Cowboys in their win over the New York Giants, the real big news came out right after the game ended.
Star receiver Dez Bryant broke a bone in his foot which will require surgery and he is expected to miss up to six weeks.

Bryant inked a new mega-deal with the Cowboys in the offseason and the star receiver came into the season not playing one snap in the preseason, so there was some excitement centered around the newly locked up wideout. That excitement might have to be put on hold for a few more weeks.
Despite the injury, it didn’t stop Dez from celebrating with his teammates after their big win.

Unfortunately for Cowboys fans, their star was limited to only 5 catches for 48 yards and he was forced to leave the game early after suffering his injury.
For now, the Cowboys go forward without Bryant and their opponents over the next six weeks aren’t exactly pushovers. They have three games on the road including two games against NFC East division rivals in the Philadelphia Eagles next week and they have a rematch with the Giants at the new Meadowlands Stadium, following their bye week, during week 6. They also travel to New Orleans to play the Saints, which is never an easy game. They have two home games against the Atlanta Falcons and New England Patriots but last season, playing at home wasn’t always the easiest task for Dallas as they went 4-4 on their home turf as opposed to their spotless 8-0 road record.
