After losing both their frontcourt starters in Paul Millsap and Dwight Howard this offseason, the Atlanta Hawks are in dire need of serviceable big men. On Wednesday, the Hawks made a solid addition to help address that hole and signed former Spurs center Dewayne Dedmon, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical:
Spurs free agent Dewayne Dedmon has agreed to a deal with the Atlanta Hawks, league sources tell The Vertical.

The deal in place is a two-year contract worth $14M but does include a player option after one season according to USAToday’s Sam Amick, giving Dedmon the ability to enter free agency again next summer if his upcoming campaign with Atlanta doesn’t go as planned.
DeWayne Dedmon two years, $14 million to Atlanta, I'm told. Player option 2nd season.

This contract could end up being a bargain for the Hawks for a player that should see plenty of minutes in Atlanta’s decimated big man rotation.
