The Phoenix Suns will meet with Devin Booker Tuesday to discuss the framework of a contract extension, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski:
Sources: Suns owner Robert Sarver and GM Ryan McDonough are meeting with star guard Devin Booker and his agent Leon Rose to present the framework of his rookie extension contract offer on Tuesday in Los Angeles. Booker is a strong candidate for a max deal.

The Suns reportedly “upset” Booker Sunday, when they released his best friend and college teammate Tyler Ulis, who spent the last two seasons in Phoenix with Booker.
It is unclear whether or not that misstep will affect these contract negotiations or Booker’s willingness to stay in Pheonix on a long-term basis.
Booker had the best season of his young career in 2017-18, posting the following career-best averages: scoring (24.9 points per game), rebounding (4.5 per game), assisting (4.7 per game), field-goal shooting (43.2 percent), 3-point shooting (38.3 percent) and foul shooting (87.8 percent).
Despite Ulis being waived, Booker likes it in Phoenix, he told azcentral:
“I’ve been treated right from the day I was drafted, even when I was a rookie and didn’t play much,” Booker told azcentral sports. “The city of Phoenix took me in with open arms and made me a part of their family. I’ve learned the history and traditions of the team. I know how much the city cares about the franchise and that means a lot to me, playing somewhere where people actually care about the franchise.
“I love it here, I bought a house here and I intend to be here for a long time.”
