Memphis Grizzlies wing Desmond Bane will miss two to three weeks with a grade two sprain in his right big toe. He suffered the injury on Friday night in the Memphis Grizzlies’ 114-103 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Bane did not play in the team’s 102-92 loss on Sunday against the Washington Wizards. This injury occurred just as the team was about to get big man Jaren Jackson Jr. back for his 2022-23 season debut. Bane is a big part of the team and scores often for the team, so they could struggle in some games in the next two to three weeks.
Memphis Grizzlies announce Desmond Bane sustained a Grade 2 sprain in right big toe and will be re-evaluated in 2-3 weeks.

So far this season with the Memphis Grizzlies, Desmond Bane is averaging 24.7 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 4.8 assists per game. He has paired those numbers with a field goal percentage of 46.5 percent and a three-point percentage of 45.1 percent. Bane is one of the best three-point shooters in the NBA and is a vital member of the Grizzlies’ roster. The team will need to step up in the two to three weeks that he misses. After that period his injury will be released and hopefully, he will be able to return to the court. We here at Def Pen Sports hope to see a quick recovery and return to the court for Bane.
