Two things are for certain with this new track; it isn’t Future nor is it anything like ‘Panda’. Okay now that I stated the obvious here, hopefully this doesn’t cloud your judgment as you listen to Desiigner’s newest track ‘Moon People’. The latest member to Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music camp sure has a way with stirring the controversy pot as he continues to relish in the success that he earned from the Billboard Hot 100, number 1 song in the country. If it isn’t his antics while performing, a recent “run in” with Justin Bieber or the constant comparisons between him and Future, Desiigner makes headlines at least once a week or more. With that said, Desiigner recently took to Snap Chat to tease a new record, which can be heard below, ‘Moon People’. As you can imagine, the Future/Desiigner talks were rampant on social media. With the record being produced by Macktastic TV and featuring an artist by the name of Boyd, it is obvious Desiigner is trying to shake the “1 trick pony” stigma which will be hard to do but for what it is worth he is on the right track, to say the least.
Personally the song doesn’t hit like ‘Panda’ but it certainly is not that bad of a record. I think what’s next for Desiigner is to drop the ‘Panda’ video and follow up with a mixtape or EP of some sort to at least try and display he can actually do more than “turn up”.
