The New York Knicks vs. the Brooklyn Nets has historically been a fun rivalry to watch — it’s the battle of the boroughs! This season, the Nets have been quite bad. The Knicks, however, have been surprisingly good, led by Carmelo Anthony and rookie Kristaps Porzingis, who has shocked doubters everywhere. The Knicks were actually .500 entering tonight –they sat at 20-20.
Tonight’s game did not go how Knicks fans hoped. They lost to their rivals, 110-104. Carmelo didn’t play, so the Knicks had to rely on other contributors. Their best player of the night? Derrick Williams! Bet you didn’t see that one coming. Williams had a season-high 31 points to go with 7 rebounds, and threw down and absolutely filthy tomahawk jam in transition, which you can(and should) watch above.
