It was heartbreaking news the NBA and the Chicago Bulls heard earlier this week, Derrick Rose tore his meniscus, again. There are numerous reports and claims that his injury isn’t as bad as his previous ones, but a man only handle so many surgeries and still be a dominant NBA player. Now we hear that Derrick Rose will have surgery on Friday, which will involve moving all or part of his meniscus in his left knee.
There are so many ideas running through peoples head, like will Derrick Rose finish his career now? Is he the next Grant Hill or Penny Hardaway or even lately Brandon Roy? For now all of the NBA is just praying Derrick Rose comes back in full health, because it hurts to see someone work so hard for where he is at and be plagued by injuries.
So now lets think playoffs. Let’s say Derrick Rose does not come back for this season. In my opinion the East is completely wide open, with Cleveland being the obvious favorites. If Derrick Rose does come back, we are back to the same predicament. At the end of the day it is all speculation, but there is no doubt that everyone wants to see him in a Bulls jersey as soon as possible.
