Derrick Rose’s knees are still causing him some trouble. It still hasn’t gone away. It’s been causing so much trouble recently, he had to take time off once again. But we’re less than two weeks off from Playoff basketball and it seems that Rose will be ready to go. As a matter of fact. He might be back this week according to ESPN.com.
Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose told ESPN’s Lisa Salters before Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers that his return from a meniscectomy will “probably” be this week.
Rose, who has been out since having the procedure Feb. 27, had been noncommittal in regard to a return date until this point.
“I’m playing all right,” Rose told Salters. “For a guy that missed two years, coming back and just being able to be with these guys and still being on the game plan. What do you know, missed two years and still be on the game plan … the team is preparing for you? I’m just grateful for that. I’m grateful to still be able to play this game.“
He’s definitely lucky to be playing this game. All those injuries and he’s still trucking along. It’s amazing that he’s still managing to produce.
