Turns out that the Derrick Rose injury isn’t the worst thing in the world. Yes, when the news dropped we all went “again?!” but then we noticed that it’s not the worst injury he’s had. But that didn’t stop everybody from talking about it of course.
But now it’s onto phase 2, Rose has had a second round of tests and he will be expected to rejoin the team on Wednesday.
“The follow-up [exam] went very well,” Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg said after practice on Saturday. “They’ve advised him to continue to let that site heal, and they think the best way for him to do that is to stay at home at this time. We plan on him being back on Wednesday morning.”
“We’re going to actually get over there and watch some film with him today,” Hoiberg said. “Because again, like we talked about [Friday], we’ve added new sets, new things, so we’ll get him caught up by a couple of coaches going over and seeing him at his house.”
How cool is that? Learning plays in the comfort of his own home, nothing better than working in your home am I right DRose?
October 27th is the circled date, the season opener against the Cleveland Cavaliers. That’s the date the Bulls are looking at for Rose and for the team.
