Head Coach Eric Musselman and the Arkansas Razorbacks have landed the commitment of Top 50 recruit and Top Ten Combo Guard Derrian Ford. The Arkansas native has been leaning toward the Razorbacks for some time and finally made it official. Ford is a 2022 prospect and should spend a few years playing for Musselman and the Arkansas Razorback’s program. While he is listed as a combo guard he will likely slot more into the shooting guard role for the Razorback’s roster.
ESPN 100 guard Derrian Ford has committed to Arkansas, source told ESPN. No. 59 in the class. Second ESPN 100 commitment for the Razorbacks in 2022, third four-star prospect.

Ford is the second-highest-rated prospect in the Musselman era of the Arkansas Razorbacks behind only Mosses Moody. With Moody headed to the NBA as a probable lottery pick the rotation has opened up for another guard coming in. The team will have to wait one season, but Ford is quickly on his way to help the roster. Ford is listed at 6’3″ and 190 pounds with some time to add some height and bulk. He will not be joining the roster alone, but with at least two other 2022 recruits.
Ford will be joining top 80 recruit and top 25 small forward Barry Dunning as well as Top 125 recruit and top 35 small forward Joseph Pinion. This commitment has brought the Razorbacks up to the 12th ranked team in the 2022 recruiting class and second overall in the SEC. Head Coach Eric Musselman is building an Arkansas program that was once a top NCAA program. This past season was a great start, but the ultimate goal for the eccentric Head Coach is a National Championship. Derrian Ford should be a multi-year prospect that helps build the program.
