Well, Phil Jackson said he would like Derek Fisher to show some more emotion, so I guess he’s taking baby steps.
Yes, you read that headline correct, Derek Fisher is upset with Wizards fans getting discounted pizza at his teams expense. (Pun sort of intended)
In Friday nights Knicks vs Wizards game, Rasul Butler dunked the ball with 1.3 seconds left to give the Wizards 101 points and a 16 point lead. Whenever Washington scores 100 or more points, fans get half price pizza.
Fisher didn’t take to kindly to that, as he called a timeout to make the Wizards stay around a little longer with the game being well over.
From Newsday, Fisher said the Wizards should have just run out the clock instead of going for 100 points. Then D-Fish said something that should never let him back in New York ever again.
“Pizza doesn’t taste that great,” Fisher said.
As a college student living in New York, growing up in New Jersey, and former Pizza delivery boy, pizza is the greatest thing in the world Mr. Fisher, it’s delicious. These 50% off deals are usually my food for the week, and many other college students all over. Thanks to Brook Lopez and the Nets for the last week, because the Knicks surely aren’t helping out the cause this season.
So to recap, yes D-Fish, pizza is great. Living in New York that’s life, pizza and traffic, like football in Texas.
You don’t want teams running up the score because your team is terrible? Then go find another job, Papa John’s is always hiring.
