New York Knicks are a team that is hoping to find a way to come back from a record-setting franchise low number in wins last season. They lost an astronomical amount of games last season and the once historic franchise was made into the running joke of the NBA.
With a big cloud of doubt and curiosity surrounding the 2015 New York Knicks from a fan perspective, there is also a cloud of curiosity and doubt from the team. Who might the starters be around Carmelo Anthony and Robin Lopez? It appears Derek Fisher isn’t afraid to take a chance with some young talent.

Fish also said he wouldn't have any qualms with starting two rookies — Porzingis and Grant — if he was convinced those two were best fits.

For Fisher to look at the two rookies as possible starters that could say a lot about both the players and the coach. The Knicks roster is weird. They actually have NBA players on their team and if all goes well, they can make a playoff push and possibly sneak in with their talent on the roster. Contending for a title might be tough but Carmelo believes it can happen.
Jerian Grant starting at the point guard wouldn’t be a horrible choice for the Knicks. Jose Calderon isn’t a great NBA point guard, he’s just a shooter at this stage of his career and on defense, he’s a turnstile. Langston Galloway is more of a two guard and then that leaves Jerian Grant. On the other hand, Kristaps Porzingis being the starting power forward for the Knicks would be a little more questionable.
The Knicks could make a small lineup featuring Carmelo Anthony at the four and Derrick Williams at the three or they could also put Williams or a guy like Kyle O’Quinn as the starting power forward. The four isn’t a lock for Kristaps but don’t be surprised if the two rookies are the Knicks starters on opening night.
