Five-time NBA champion Derek Fisher’s home was burgled early Monday morning, TMZ reports. The burglar(s) reportedly entered Fisher’s house through a side door some time between 7:30 and 10:30 AM – the time period in which Fisher was gone from his house.
The perpetrators stole jewelry worth more than $300,000, including Fisher’s five NBA championship rings, all of which he won with the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Los Angeles Police Department is currently investigating the crime; no arrests have been made. Fisher has been unavailable for comment, reports TMZ.
Fisher most recently coached the New York Knicks. He was hired in June of 2014, and coached the Knicks to a combined record of 40-96 before he was fired in February of 2016. Fisher recently said that he believes that the Knicks were more successful under his coaching than they are now, under Jeff Hornacek.
