If I asked you who you thought was the highest paid player in NFL history, 26-year-old Derek Carr would be your answer right? I thought so.
Ian Rapport dropped the news via Twitter this morning that Carr and the Raiders agreed to a contract extension worth $125 million dollars. I mean it’s not THAT much money right ha ha…..

Meanwhile, Carr just wants to play football now!!
Now it’s done ?! From the jump I’ve wanted to be a Raider 4 life. One step closer to that! Blessed!!! Business done! Let’s just play now!!!

Check out where this deal puts Carr in respect to the other highest-paid quarterbacks in the league.

It’ll be interesting to see how this deal impacts other QB’s looking for a contract extension (Kirk Cousins, Matthew Stafford, etc). Good luck to the general managers out there.
As for Carr, he has a big year ahead of him. He’s entering his fourth season in the league and threw for 3,397 yards with 28 touchdowns, six interceptions and a QBR of 96.7 in 2016.
Let’s hope the money doesn’t get to him. It definitely wouldn’t get to me.
