A month or so ago Knicks head honcho Phil Jackson was talking about JR Smith and he made the small claim that JR Smith is the modern day Dennis Rodman.
The good old Dennis Rodman agrees with this statement as he tweets this.
Sending love to the zen master @PhilJackson11 and the @nyknicks for this season. Good luck to @therealjrsmith who is the new Dennis Rodman

And as it turns out. JR Smith takes it as a compliment. He said this to the New York Daily News praising Dennis and his accomplishments.
“Last time I checked Dennis Rodman’s got what three, four rings?” Smith said Tuesday about the Worm, who actually won five NBA titles with the Pistons and Jackson’s Bulls during his career. “I’m not offended by that. It’s an honor. He’s a Hall of Famer. And to be put in the same words as a Hall of Famer is something special. So I’m not offended at all.”
I guess JR Smith chose to forget all the off the court stuff Rodman has been through. Fair enough. If you forget your own you’re bound to forget Dennis Rodman’s.
