Here’s something that I don’t understand when it comes to NBA players these days. Especially when it comes to specific cases like Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins.
Here’s what’s happening with both of these players. They’re both young, potential superstars who are unfortunately leaders of borderline Lottery teams that don’t show any signs of growing other than their own individual play.
So why is it that DeMarcus Cousins has been playing the season with foot tendinitis when he knows that the Kings won’t touch Playoff basketball?
“I’ve been playing with tendinitis in my feet all season,” Cousins told a small gathering of reporters. “That’s why you see me walking up and down funny. Hopefully this procedure goes well and I can start preparing for Team USA.”
Alright, I guess that DeMarcus Cousins isn’t as crazy as Anthony Davis has been. At least it hasn’t been over a three year period.
Sure, DMC wants to be on the Team USA squad, it’s something that the players care about, an opportunity like no other. To play for your country. Maybe Americans should be like the players and be grateful that this great spectacle comes once every four years.
