There’s nothing I hate more than wasted talent, it saddens me and at the same time angers me. Why would the holder of that talent or someone else hinder the growth? It’s just wrong.
This is what I currently think about DeMarcus Cousins and how he spends year after year getting All-Star numbers but never sniffing Playoff basketball.
But it seems that I don’t need to worry. In a recent interview with SLAM Magazine, DeMarcus has faith in the Kings, he loves Sacramento, he even wants his number to be retired by the Kings when it’s all said and done.
SLAM: It seems like you guys are starting to turn the page, like you’re changing the energy. What do you think about the city?
DMC: I love Sacramento. I consider this home, so that’s not the problem. The losing is.
SLAM: So you working on your legacy?
DMC: All that comes into play. I want my legacy to be here, I want my number in the rafters here. I want that storyline to be he changed things around in Sacramento.
If Boogie stays in Sacramento for the remainder his career, his jersey will be retired. Question is, will it just be for being dedicated and setting a few franchise records? Or will it for leading the team to some Playoff glory?
