DeMarcus Cousins’ time in New Orleans has been anything but perfect. Cousins and Anthony Davis were dominant defensively last season but it was tough for the team to buy a bucket. Next season is bound to be better simply because the Pelicans have time to figure out an offense that may flow better with two supremely skilled big men. Cousins is already excited about what his new team is capable of and is more than prepared for next season.
According to Marc J. Spears of the Undefeated, one team Cousins is particularly excited to play is the Kings.
For New Orleans Pelicans All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins, the game he is most looking forward to is playing against his former Sacramento Kings in Sacramento, California, for the first time since his controversial trade.
“I can’t wait. Oh, my God. I can’t wait. I’m praying it’s the first game. I just got a lot to get off my chest. I can’t wait,” Cousins said at the NBA’s Basketball Without Borders Africa camp on Wednesday.
The Pelicans should, in theory, be better than the Kings but Boogie snatching a win over his former team is anything but certain.
