DeMarcus Cousins and the Sacramento Kings haven’t made it into the NBA playoffs yet. When you look at the team on paper, it should be able to put up a fair fight against some of the best teams in the NBA, but it hasn’t been the case for the Kings. Even with the new logo and a new arena for the Kings, there are some underlying issues that obvious reside within Sacramento’s situation.
DeMarcus Cousins sat down with Sacramento Sports Radio 1140 KHTK and spoke with them on the Kings, the NBA Playoffs and some other issues around the NBA.

Malone was the former Sacramento Kings coach and he led them to a pretty decent effort until he was fired half way through the season just a couple of years ago. The Kings went on to struggle with interm head coach Tyrone Corbin to finish off yet another unsuccessful season. This year under George Karl, they struggled early to gel, and never really found a groove that put them in contention for the Playoffs.
It’s obvious there’s some issues with the way the Sacramento Kings Organization is dealing with its players and it’s team. They’ve got a lot of work to do in the front office, starting with the contract of Rajon Rondo, and extending as far the option of trading Rudy Gay to find a better fit Forward for the team. With a new logo and a new arena, you hope that the Kings will be able to bring a new revived energy into the forefront. With firing George Karl, comes finding a new Head Coach, to deal with this disgruntled Kings team. Who will be taking the helm? Many have been rumoured such as Luke Walton, Nat McMillan, Vinny Del Negro, and Mark Jackson for the position. One thing we’ll know for certain is that the Kings front office will be having a busy offseason, and it looks like DeMarcus Cousins wants to have a say in what happens.
