The 2017 NBA Skills Challenge will continue in the footsteps of the 2016 contest. Last year in Toronto, for the first time ever, the annual Skills Challenge added big men to the group of competitors. Among the group of the talented bigs was a trio of Kentucky alumni in Anthony Davis, DeMarcus Cousins and Karl-Anthony Towns along with Draymond Green. One of those talented bigs will be returning to take another shot at the crown.
Towns won the 2016 NBA Skills Challenge but on his way to victory, he faced off with DeMarcus Cousins in their second round matchup. It now appears that Cousins will be looking to get another shot at winning the Skills Challenge title. He will compete in the 2017 NBA Skills Challenge.

Busy weekend for DeMarcus Cousins next month in New Orleans. He'll compete in the Skills Challenge again and 3rd All-Star Game, per sources

The other big news in that tweet is the announcement of Cousins’ selection as a member of the 2017 NBA All-Star game. It was almost a no-brainer that Cousins would be a member of the Western Conference All-Star team. He’s been killing it this year for a Kings team in contention for a playoff spot.
