The “3 Point Shootout” puts up the best shooters from long range against each other in a tournament style elimination contest to determine who’s the best shooter in the league!
Larry Bird and Craig Hodges are the only 3-time winners and they also won their 3 titles in consecutive years! Hodges and former Miami Heat sharp shooter are tied for the most points in a round with 25. Kapono has the record for the most points in a final round, a record he set in his 2008 victory. Craig Hodges also has another 3-point shootout record with 19 consecutive shots made in the shootout.
Other past winners include Marco Belinelli, Kyrie Irving, Kevin Love, Ray Allen, Dirk Nowitzki, Peja Stojakovic twice in a row and Paul Pierce.
Now it’s time to get to shooting! All teams and setup were picked by some of the Def Pen Sports Staff and one special guest as well, all based on what they think the format should be!
