If you haven’t heard the news that has recently dropped today, DeAndre Jordan (Clippers fans may want to stop reading now) has signed a contract with the Dallas Mavericks worth 4-Years & $80 Million. That’s a deal that’ll make Dallas relevant for just that little bit longer until Dirk Nowitzki retires. I mean with all these deals the Mavs are making its all to help Dirk get another couple of Playoff runs before he hangs up his kicks.
But DeAndre Jordan signed not just to breathe in some new air, find some new scenery. He actually wants to be the man according to Dan Woike of the OC Register.

This makes me laugh to be honest, he simply cannot be the man like Wilt Chamberlain was. Like Shaq was. The only way DeAndre can be the man is if he gets a jumpshot and we all know there’s a better chance of me winning the lottery twice than DeAndre Jordan shooting jumpers successfully.
And besides, Dirk is still there remember, he still takes the final shot, only “the man” takes the final shot. Can’t see DeAndre sinking a fade away buzzer beater can you?
