De’Aaron Fox is projected to be a top 10 pick in the upcoming NBA draft. So far, there has been strong connections between the young guard and the New York Knicks. The Knicks have an obvious need at guard and Fox showed how prepared he is for the NBA in his freshman year at Kentucky.
Pairing Kristaps Porzingis and Fox could be a smart move for the team in the Big Apple and according to Marc Berman of the New York Post, Fox likes the idea.
“I don’t know too much about the triangle. Everyone says it’s hard to learn. But if I have to go in there and have to play in it, I’ll learn quickly. And Porzingis, he’s amazing. Watching him, what he did this year — I really paid attention to the NBA this year because I’m about to go into this business — man, he’s great. If I’m able to play with him, I feel we can do something special.”
The Knicks will obviously have a plethora of choices in what many consider the best draft in decades. Who they choose may also come down to where they land in the lottery as well as what happens to Carmelo Anthony. Phil Jackson has more than strongly hinted at moving the star forward and that may alter their decisions in the draft.
