The Titans are officially coming to the small screen. With Warner Brothers introducing its own streaming platform in ‘DC Entertainment’, you can expect to see a lot more DC superheroes popping up on your screen. Along with bringing every possible show and movie ever created by DC onto the platform for easy access, they will also be introducing original content with their arsenal of characters.
First on the list is the Teen Titans. The Titans, which follows the story of the ‘sidekicks’ in Robin, Starfire, Raven and Beast Boy will be R-rated which will take a much different tone than the comics and kids TV show. The trailer debut and had mixed reviews but we will give it a chance, like all things DC deserves.
While some people hated the trailer and automatically jumped to conclusions, I’m going to keep an open mind about it. I think about it like this, the same DC fans who complain that the CW superhero universe is too soft are probably saying that Robin saying ‘Fuck Batman’ is nowhere near what his character would actually say. If some research were done to back up that claim, you’d see that superheroes even refer to Dick Grayson’s Robin to be one of the superheroes who quite frankly, swears a lot. Regardless, it’s over thinking. It’s reaching and it’s not substantive enough to ruin your whole experience of a superhero show.
With that being said, my alarm for October 14th is set. Which is when the show debuts along with the entire streaming service, by the way.
