In light of the recent events taking place in Baltimore, a plethora of celebrities have decided to take a stand a voice their thoughts and give support whether through thoughtful words or through music. You can now add Dawn Richard to the list of artists who have lent their support to the movement. Taking to social media, the ‘Calypso’ singer has premiered a new track, titled ‘Genocide’, to vent her frustration and thoughts with the events taking place in our society. As she sings, “Why must we die all the time, why must we cry, this shit ain’t right,” it is evident that Dawn’s ‘Genocide’ shares the same sentiments as millions of others across the world.
