Two up, two down!
Keyshawn Davis will return to his hometown of Norfolk, Virginia for the first defense of the WBO Lightweight Championship. Edwin De Los Santos will reportedly challenge Davis at the Scope Arena on Brambleton Avenue.
Davis enters the bout less than six months after earning his first world title. The Virginia native stopped previous titleholder in the fourth round of a scheduled 12-round bout at the Theater at Madison Square Garden. Prior to winning the world title, Davis stopped Gustavo Lemos in Norfolk, Virginia on November 8, 2024.
De Los Santos has been much less active. He last fought on November 16, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada at T-Mobile Arena on ESPN. Challenging Shakur Stevenson for the WBC Lightweight Championship, he came up short as he landed a CompuBox record-low 40 punches over 12 rounds, including 14 power punches total. Prior to his bout with Stevenson, he had won three straight, including a knockout win against Jose Valenzuela, after suffering his first loss in 2022.
