If you weren’t too focused on the College Football last night. You would’ve seen that Indiana’s David West left their preseason game against Dallas with an ankle injury. It looked bad on the face of it. He couldn’t put any weight on it and had to get teammates to help him out.

The Indianapolis Star are reporting that he’s had X-Rays on the ankle and it came out negative.
David West grabbed an offensive rebound and went up for an attempted put back midway through the third quarter. What happened next understandably made coach Frank Vogel cringe.
West rolled his right ankle when he landed and had to be helped up by his teammates. The Pacers’ emotional leader tried to put some weight on it, but needed help to get to the bench and later to the locker room. He was diagnosed with a sprained right ankle afterwards and the Pacers have to hope it isn’t as bad as it looked. Vogel said West will be re-evaluated in the next day or two.
“No idea,” Vogel said when asked how long West might be out. “We just know it was a sprained ankle. X-rays are negative.“
If this is a bad injury. The Indiana Pacers will have one of the biggest drops in NBA History. Best in the Eastern Conference last season. This’ll make them a lottery team for sure. Hopefully David’s injury isn’t bad because the Pacers can’t take any more knocks.
