The Cleveland Browns’ presumed high-powered offense has been relatively sluggish to open the regular season after a brutal loss to the Tennesse Titans was followed by a victory over the lowly New York Jets. However, things don’t seem to look encouraging as now, they have some negative news on the injury front to one of their offensive weapons.
Tight end David Njoku took a hard fall in the first quarter of their victory over the Jets and would not return. Now, it’s looking like Njoku could be out for multiple weeks or perhaps even a month. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, Njoku broke his wrist on the play and is expected to miss about a month. Njoku and the Browns haven’t yet decided whether he will undergo surgery.

Though he sometimes flies under the radar, David Njoku is a big part of what the Cleveland Browns wanted to do this season. Njoku had four receptions in their Week 1 loss against Tennessee but didn’t record a catch prior to exiting against New York.
At 6-foot-4 and nearly 250 pounds, Njoku is a daunting physical specimen and one of the brightest young tight ends in the game. His incredible frame and speed allow him to be a reliable target for Baker Mayfield over the middle while Odell Beckham Jr. and Jarvis Landry operate outside.
Next up at tight end for Cleveland is Demetrius Harris who’s shown potential in spurts throughout his five seasons in the NFL.
