Spurs forward David Lee will not need surgery on his injured left knee, agent Mark Bartelstein told ESPN’s Ramona Shelburne.
Lee, a 12-year NBA veteran, suffered a torn patellar tendon in the Spurs’ 120-108 Game 3 loss to Golden State last week.

The injury occurred in the first quarter, just minutes after Lee checked into the game. Unable to walk under his own power, he was carried off the court on a wheelchair.

Lee missed the remainder of the game as well as Game 4 due to the injury, which is expected to be healed around the start of free agency. He holds a $2.3 million player option for the 2017-18 season.
After signing a contract to join the Spurs last offseason, Lee averaged 7.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 18.7 minutes per game this season.
