With the one year anniversary of Dave East’s Paranoia: A True Story coming up, it’s safe to say that he’s been one of the hardest working artists over the past twelve months. On the collaboration front, the Harlem rapper has collaborated with Lil’ Uzi Vert, Gunna, Tory Lanez, Royce Da 5’9, DJ Premier and more. On the mixtape front, East has put out Karma and Paranoia 2 since releasing Paranoia: A True Story. Today, Dave East is back with his third mixtape in less than a year, Karma 2.
The first installment of the Karma series featured the likes of Chris Brown, Offset and more. The second installment is equipped with similar star studded features like Fabolous, Don Q and more. The nineteen track project is a showcase of Dave East’s New York signature style and a testament of how hard the Def Jam artist has been working since being signed.
The release of the project comes just a week after East was embroiled in beef with fellow New York rapper. Tray Pizzy kicked off the back and forth “Retribution” and East responded with “I’m Good”. Since then, East has remained focused on the release of this mixtape with DJ Holiday by releasing the lead single with Rick Ross and a video to go along with it.
