Darrius Heyward-Bey is going back to the Steel City. NFL Network reporter Grand Getlin is reporting the Steelers have agreed to resign Heyward-Bey on a multi year deal.
I’m told WR Darrius Heyward-Bey and the #Steelers have agreed to a multi-year deal. Had multiple suitors but believes Pittsburgh is special.

Heyward-Bey, 29, caught 21 passes for 314 yards and two touchdowns in 2015. He was active for all 16 games a year ago but was only targeted 39 times all season. Heyward-Bey’s return fills some much needed depth behind Antonio Brown, Martavis Bryant, and Markus Wheaton.
UPDATE: The deal is for 3 years worth a grand total of $3.8 million.
The deal seems like a bargain for the Steelers. It appears Heyward-Bey likely took some sort of hometown discount to return to the team.
