In what has already been an eventful NFL post-season, last week Jets corner Darrelle Revis found himself in Pittsburgh where he played his college football at. This time, the defensive back made the news for all the wrong reasons. The 10-year veteran turned himself in on Friday to Pittsburgh police and was arrested on multiple felony criminal charges including robbery, assault, and conspiracy. Mr. Revis was released on nonmonetary bond the next morning
New evidence has come to the table that could potentially exonerate him from all charges, as both of his attorneys Robert DelGreco Jr. and Mark Fiorilli told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. The video shows two men on the floor unconscious and an unknown man behind the camera pleading that he had knocked both men on the floor.
“I knocked both these [expletive] out. Both of them. They both sleep. Shut up before I knock your [expletive] out next. Both of y’all shut up.”

Revis’ attorneys continue to represent their client and further deny his involvement in the altercation. On Sunday night, the Robert Delgreco Jr. and Mark Fiorilli issued a statement on the incident.
“Darrelle Revis absolutely, categorically and positively did not knock out anyone, did not conspire with anyone to commit an assault, did not say ‘shut up before I knock your [expletive] out next’ and surely did not ‘rob’ another of a cell phone,” issued in the statement “The voice and admissions made on the video are not that of Darrelle Revis. We have no doubt but that further investigation relative to the clothing and voice verification will corroborate the above assertions.”
This has come at a rather unfortunate time for Revis as the Jets were already having discussions on whether or not to cut the cornerback. He is set to collect $6 million guaranteed out of a potential $13 million in which the Jets could cut him and look for a replacement when free agency begins on March 9th.
Revis’ preliminary hearing is set for Thursday, February 23rd.
