Free agent forward Dante Cunningham has signed a one-year worth $2.3 million with the New Orleans Pelicans, reports Shams Charania of The Vertical:
Cunningham has agreed to a one-year, $2.3M deal with New Orleans, league sources tell The Vertical. https://t.co/C9BF6n6hBE

If Charania’s report is accurate, then this deal is slightly above the veteran’s minimum. The minimum deal for a player with Cunningham’s experience (eight years) would be $2,106,470. $2.3 million is the minimum for a player with 10 years-plus experience, so the most likely scenario here is a reporting mistake.
Cunningham, 30, was drafted in the second round in 2009 by the Portland Trail Blazers.
Cunningham has spent the last three seasons with New Orleans, hovering around 25 minutes per game during his tenure there.
Prior to his time with the Pelicans, Cunningham played for the Blazers for two seasons and also spent time with the Charlotte Hornets, Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves.
For his career, Cunningham has averaged 6.1 points and 3.8 rebounds per game on 47.1 percent shooting.
Prior to being drafted, the 6-foot-8 forward played four years at Villanova and won the Big East Most Improved Player award during his senior season.
