
Running Back Danny Woodhead announced his retirement after nine NFL seasons Friday night on his Instagram.
Danny Woodhead was a versatile back who was known for his receiving skills out of the backfield. Woodhead scored 32 career touchdowns (15 rushing, 17 receiving) and had 4,936 total yards (2,238 rushing, 2,698 receiving) during his nine NFL seasons with the New York Jets, New England Patriots, San Diego Chargers and the Baltimore Ravens.
Woodhead signed a three-year deal with the Baltimore Ravens he was released on March 13th after an injury-plagued season. During his first game in Baltimore Woodhead reaggravated a hamstring injury and didn’t play until mid-November.
Danny Woodhead has finished the season with 200 receiving yards and 56 rushing yards in an eight-game season.
