Actor Danny Trejo has partnered with The Everest Foundation and Los Angeles County Supervisor Hilda Solis to offer free meals to frontline workers and their families. Trejo each attendee with a food bowl from his California taco restaurant.
“This year has been very difficult for many of us, including most of our friends in the hospitality industry,” Trejo said.
“These donations not only provided for the most vulnerable but helped keep our doors open.”
Together, the Everest Foundation, Solis nd Trejo fed nearly 1,000 families. Keeping with COVID-19 protocols throughout the state, participants were asked to drive-up to receive their bowls. While there, many also had the chance to meet up with the famed actor.
“During this difficult time, we want to give thanks to the East L.A. Community, especially our front-line workers that surround that facility, by spreading some joy this holiday season,” Michael Everest of The Everest Foundation said.
“We are grateful to be working with Trejo’s Tacos to, once again, give back to such an important community.”
