I have talked Boston Celtics a lot recently. We all know that they have 8 Draft picks in the upcoming NBA Draft. I personally think that they will trade a few of them, they have way too much leverage in this Draft not to call up some teams asking “Want a Draft Pick?”
Now when I say that they’ll most likely trade away some picks, I had the lower 4 in mind. But Danny Ainge isn’t leaving out trading the Brooklyn pick.
“I think the No. 1 pick certainly has more value, but we’ll discuss trading that pick or using that pick and developing a good young player,” Ainge said when asked about the potential of landing a top pick. “We’ll look at every option that we can to get our team good.”
Asked about the chances that the team uses all eight of its draft picks, Ainge said, “Probably slim. There a lot of players overseas that we’ve evaluated that we like also, so there’s always the option to keep them and draft and stash guys. We’ll probably have a lot of conversation between lottery night and the draft.”
Well that confirms my thoughts.
I personally think this Draft is one full of risks. Not all the players are legit, I think the C’s should trade at least 4 picks and get players who you know can play in the NBA. No point getting somebody that’s so raw that you have to place him in the D-League.
