The Boston Celtics nabbed the big fish that many were desperately hoping they would this offseason but it came at a price. Having to trade Avery Bradley in order to open up some cap space was a tough decision for the organization. Ultimately, they decided Jae Crowders contract and talents were too good to let go of. According to Steve Bulpett of the Boston Herald, Danny Ainge views Jae Crowder as a big part of their future.
“Jae is a big part of what we’re doing,”
“I mean, he was our best 3-point shooter last year, and he defends some of the top players in the league. Jae’s a very important player for us going forward.”
It also looks like the Celtics may have some more moves to make before it is all said and done.
“No, we’re not comfortable yet,” Danny Ainge told the Herald. “We do like our team, but we’re still going to search things out to see if we can find anything that makes us better this offseason.”
